generis international charity about us isa ebowe lukemasuenHistory

Our organization was founded in 2006 by Luke Masuen in Ontario, Canada. Luke was inspired by his father Moses, who was dedicated to education and charity work in Africa. Moses passed away after a long battle with cancer, but Luke pledged to carry on his work. In 2008 we expanded to include a branch in the United States, headed by Isa Ebowe. Originally called Canterio International, the name was changed in 2015 to Generis International. Generis (pronounced jen-er-is) is a Latin term for philanthropist, and Amicus Humani Generis literally means, friend of the human race.

Mission

To advance educational opportunity for children by addressing fundamental issues such as access to education and proper nutrition, Generis International pledges to build a foundation for lasting change —and hope— for orphans and vulnerable children in poor countries.
